Our Story
Our story
The first time I left my rescue Luna alone in the apartment, she destroyed two cushions, a pair of shoes, and ate half a roll of paper towels.
The vet said it was separation anxiety. He offered medication. I asked if there was anything to try first. He shrugged.
So I went down the rabbit hole.
I read studies on canine anxiety. I bought 6 different calming beds, 3 anxiety vests, and roughly $200 worth of lick mats and puzzle feeders. Half of them didn't work. Some made it worse. A couple actually moved the needle.
By month 3, Luna was sleeping through the night. By month 6, she could be home alone for 4 hours without dismantling the apartment.
Pawse exists because I shouldn't have had to spend $200 and 3 months figuring out what works. There should be a brand that curates only the products that have actual behavioral science behind them, tells you honestly what to expect (including when something won't work), and stands behind it with a real guarantee.
What we believe
Environment before medication. Anxiety meds have a place, but they shouldn't be the first stop. Pressure, warmth, enclosure, and distraction work for most pets — and they don't have side effects.
Honesty over hype. No miracle claims. No 97% success rate stats made up by marketing. We tell you what works for most pets and what to do if you're in the minority.
Returns shouldn't be a fight. If our products don't work for your pet, you get your money back. We don't email you a 4-step form. We refund and figure out who could use the bed at a shelter.
Stop chasing trendy products. We sell 4 things. We've tested 40. The other 36 didn't make the cut.
What we don't do
- We don't claim to cure clinical anxiety.
- We don't tell you to replace your vet with our products.
- We don't sell calming chews or supplements (different category, different expertise).
- We don't dropship cheap junk and slap a logo on it. Our suppliers are vetted. Ask us.
The team
We're small on purpose. A founder, two part-time customer support humans who actually own anxious pets themselves, and a network of vets and behaviorists we consult before any product makes it into the lineup.
If you email hello@pawseclub.co, a person who has lived through this answers within 24 hours.
Built in 2026. Tested on real anxious pets (with their consent).
